  1. University of California at Santa Cruz

The University of California, Santa Cruz, has earned national distinction as a university with high-impact research and an uncommon commitment to teaching and public service. A campus with world-class facilities and one of the most visually spectacular settings in higher education, UC Santa Cruz provides unparalleled opportunities for students to learn through hands-on experience. A commitment to environmental stewardship and community engagement are also central to UCSC’s core values. Undergraduates pursue course work in 65 majors, and graduate students work toward master’s degrees, doctoral degrees, and graduate certificates in 41 academic programs. UCSC people, including about 93,000 alumni, are leaders in virtually every field; and the campus is highly regarded for the positive impact it has on society. Zagazig University and University of California are partners in collaboration with the Applied Research pillar of the Center of Excellence for Water.

  1. Utah State University

Since its founding in 1888, Utah State University has evolved from a small-town college to a thriving research university respected around the world. Students can choose from an array of academic and social opportunities at a university known throughout the world for its intellectual and technological leadership. USU is the #5 public university in the nation in “National Universities Rankings 2017” by Washington Monthly (2017). The mission of Utah State University is to be one of the nation’s premier student-centered land-grant and space-grant universities by fostering the principle that academics come first, by cultivating diversity of thought and culture, and by serving the public through learning, discovery and engagement. Utah State University and Ain Shams University are partners in collaboration with the Instructional Innovation and Curriculum Development pillar of the Center of Excellence for Water.

  1. Temple University

Temple University is a public institution that was founded in 1884. The university has nine campuses – ranging across urban and suburban Philadelphia to branches in Rome and Japan. Its main campus is in the heart of Philadelphia, the largest city in Pennsylvania and the fifth largest in the US. Temple University’s ranking in the 2021 edition of Best Colleges is National Universities, #103. The school runs a variety of research centers and institutes, including the Innovation & Entrepreneurship Institute, the Center for Sustainable Communities, and the Center for Asian Health. Temple University and Aswan University are partners in collaboration with the Exchange, Training, and Scholarships pillar led by the Center of Excellence for Water.

  1. Washington State University

Washington State College was established in 1890 as a land-grant institution. It has become a distinguished public research university, but its mission remains rooted in accessibility and public service. The University aims to advance knowledge through creative research and scholarship across a wide range of academic disciplines. It also aims to extend knowledge through innovative educational programs in which emerging scholars are mentored to realize their highest potential and assume roles of leadership, responsibility, and service to society.  The university proposes applying knowledge through local and global engagement that will improve the quality of life and enhance the economy of the state, nation, and world. Washington State University and Alexandria University are partners in collaboration with the Governance pillar led by the Center of Excellence for Water.
